Profmet - Mobile Application for B2B and Retail Sales

Task: Develop a mobile application for Profmet, one of the largest importers in Moldova of fastening elements, tools, technical chemicals, and personal protective equipment for the trade and industrial sectors.

The application should be designed to provide users with convenient access to the product catalog, order placement for both B2B and retail customers, personal account management, and up-to-date information on stock availability, pricing, and promotions.

What we did:

• Designed a user-friendly products catalog structure with multi-level categories and advanced filtering.
• Integrated the application with the company’s internal product and order management system.
• Implemented personalized pricing based on customer type: retail or B2B. For B2B customers, we added the ability to generate invoices for bank transfer payments.
• Developed a shopping cart and checkout process with automatic price recalculation and online payment support.
• Implemented a user account section with order history and favorite products.
• Optimized application performance to ensure stable operation with a large product catalog.

Development timeline: 6 months

Results:

• Developed a cross-platform mobile application that enables fast and convenient order placement in the Profmet store.
• Simplified product search through a well-structured catalog and an efficient filtering system.
• Automated product, pricing, and inventory updates, as well as the transfer of orders from the application to the company’s accounting and management system.
• Created a convenient digital sales tool for both retail and B2B customers, including real-time order status tracking.
