Task: Atomic Logistic organizes cargo transportation across Europe and faced a common industry challenge: shipment requests, driver communication, and route control were handled through scattered channels (messengers, phone calls, spreadsheets). This slowed down request processing, complicated shipment monitoring, and required a large amount of manual coordination.
What we did:
We developed a digital platform that includes a website and a mobile application for all participants involved in the transportation process.
Key solutions:
-
Implemented a multi-level user system (drivers, operators).
-
Developed an interactive cargo map displaying available shipments, loading and unloading points, and cargo details.
-
Added the ability to accept or decline transportation requests directly within the application.
-
Implemented push notifications so drivers can quickly receive new transportation offers.
-
Enabled GPS tracking of drivers and cargo movement along routes.
-
Developed driver dashboards with a full history of requests, shipments, and interactions.
-
Created a clear interface and branded design so the system remains convenient even with complex functionality and accessible to drivers while on the road.
Development timeline: Platform development and launch took 5 months.
Results:
-
Accelerated transportation request processing through automated interaction between participants.
-
Reduced manual coordination between managers, drivers, and clients.
-
Increased logistics transparency through real-time tracking of drivers and cargo.
-
Simplified driver workflows - new shipment requests arrive directly in the app.
-
Centralized the full history of shipments and interactions within a single system.
